It can be difficult to know how to spend your time in the gap that stands between Christmas and New Year. On 28th December, we’re holding a party specially for the occasion, so the Christmas celebrations don’t have to end after boxing day!
Upon arrival at Headlam, our friendly team will welcome you with a drink before presenting you with delicious canapés – including prawn vol-au-vents and caramel popcorn. This is all before you sit down to enjoy a retro two-course meal, where you’ll choose from coq au vin or mushroom stroganoff. You’ll be in for a sweet surprise for dessert, as we’ll give you the choice of black forest trifle or peach melba. All of our dishes are locally sourced – some from as close as our own garden – so you can be assured that every item on your plate is fully traceable. With seasonal ingredients included, our dishes burst with flavour. Being decadent and flavoursome whilst also filling, a light two-course meal at Headlam is perfect for the days following Christmas – when you’re likely to have indulged in endless turkey and Christmas pudding!
After you’ve enjoyed a feast, you’ll then be able to dance away to our in-house DJ, Steve. The theme this year is Disco Fever, where you’ll be taken back to the 70’s with classic songs. The dress code, therefore, is based on 70’s disco – so get dressed up in your glad rags for an evening of fun!

A combination of country-house and stylish, these rooms have been converted from stables and barns to contemporary, comfortable rooms on the ground and first floors of the hotel.
